The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home having a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined household earnings would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African click here citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the proper Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or plan to here study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of 2025 nsfas application their application.
